Another McDonald's opens in southeast Orlando

A new McDonald's opens today at 7055 Narcoossee Road. The restaurant design was inspired by architect Frank Lloyd Wright and will feature a new McCafe beverage bar and a double drive-thru. A weeklong series of events is scheduled, including a ribbon cutting at 5 p.m. The rest of the schedule:

Dec. 4 5-7 p.m. – Play Hard, Eat Healthy Night - Interactive physical presentations by local fitness experts and Open Door Tour for invited guests and media Dec.r 5 5-7 p.m. – Build A Strong Community Night - Local community leaders like
Home Depot and Ronald McDonald House Charities come together to share ways to build a strong community and a performance by "The Heartbeat Boys." Dec. 6 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Grand Opening Block Party with WXXL 106.7, face painting, balloon animals, Ronald McDonald and prize giveaways including a gaming system, DVD player, bicycle and digital camera. Dec. 8 5-7 p.m. Child Safety Night to include safety presentations, and ways to keep your neighborhood safe and clean.
